Laura Van Dyne, a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, has been an APDT member since 1996. She is an AAS Graduate Veterinary Technician of the State University of New York at Delhi and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado. She is a retired professor of Veterinary Technology at Colorado Mountain College, where she served as President of the Faculty Senate for one year and was the Chair for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.

Laura started her business, Canine Consultant LLC, in 1996. She serves as a Delta Society Evaluator and Pet Partner with Duck, her Portuguese Water Dog. She is a founding member of Heeling Partners of the Roaring Fork Valley. Laura is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She hosts a monthly talk show, “Dawg Talk,” on KDNK public access radio in Carbondale, Colorado. She also serves as Chair of the Problems and Solutions Committee at Colorado Animal Rescue (local animal shelter), and is a member and past newsletter editor of the Roaring Fork Kennel Club.
