Committee History

This committee was originally called Scholarship and the first to be given was the Dogwise John Fisher Essay Award.  The goal was to encourage members to write an essay and reward the efforts of the winner with a free pass to the annual conference.

We were given the charge by Dr. Ian Dunbar at the Long Range Planning Meeting in 1999 to have 9 award programs in place and are working toward that goal. We need sponsors for the awards to reach this goal.  If you know a company or individual who would be interested in sponsoring an APDT award in the future, let us know!

Nominations for the current year are accepted beginning April 1. Deadline for the award applications/essays June 9, 2008. See the Awards page for more information.
