Committee History

The goal of improving member satisfaction with overall communications was the impetus behind its creation.

The Member Communications Committee was established in spring of 1999. The goal of improving member satisfaction with overall communications was the impetus behind its creation. In 2000 MCC decided that there was enough work specifically dedicated to member relations and services to start a separate committee. At that time Michelle Romano, who was the Volunteer Coordinator for MCC, became chair of the Member Relations and Services committee, while continuing to serve on the MCC committee. In early 2004 MRS and MCC decided they would be more effective by becoming one committee, so they rolled back into one committee which is now called Member Relations and Communications.
