About the Award

This award is for an APDT Member who exemplifies the APDT spirit through training of dogs, as demonstrated by meeting a variety of requirements set forth by the Awards Committee.

Requirements

Nominations should explain why this person should be considered for the award. The following information will be considered by the committee:

• Contributions to the APDT
• Volunteer work within the APDT
• Efforts to uphold the APDT Mission Statement
• Contributions to the welfare of dogs
• Contributions to the education of people
• Volunteer work within the animal community

Methods for Submitting Your Application

APDT would prefer that all Award applications be submitted in electronic format. You may send your application for the APDT Ian Dunbar Member of the Year Award by E-mail: awards@apdt.com

Unable to send your application by email? You may send a hard copy application. However, APDT does strongly suggest that if you choose to mail your application that you use a tracking number to ensure safe and timely delivery. Any application received after the deadline date will not be eligible for the award.

Award

The winner will receive up to $1,500 to go toward travel, meals and hotel and free admission to the APDT Educational Conference. The winner will receive recognition and a certificate. The deadline for entry is June 9, 2008
