How to Register for Rally

You must register your dog(s) with APDT Rally in order to compete with them in APDT Rally Trials and earn APDT Rally legs and titles.

You need to complete a separate registration form for each team you are registering.

Registration confirmation will be emailed to you. If you do not have email, it will be sent via US mail. Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing.

Do I have to be a member of the APDT to participate in APDT Rally?

No, you do not have to be a member of the APDT. Your dog must be registered with APDT Rally and there is a discounted registration fee for APDT members.

How do I register my dog with APDT Rally?

You must complete a Dog Registration Application Formfound in the Forms chapter. Mail it and the appropriate payment to the address on the form. Registrations cannot be processed by phone, fax or email.

How long does it take to receive my registration number?

Please allow 2 - 4 weeks for processing.

Can I enter a trial if I don't have my number yet?

No, trial hosts are not allowed to accept entries that do not have registration numbers.

What do I do if I lose my registration number?

You must fill out an Administrative Research Request Form and mail it with payment to the address on the form.

What happens if I enter a trial with an incorrect number?

Trial scores are put into the database and credited to each team by registration number. If your number is incorrect, you will not receive credit for your score.

I have a mixed breed dog. Are mixed breeds eligible?

Yes, mixed breed dogs, dogs with disabilities and purebred dogs are eligible.
